CISB selects 26 projects designed to promote innovation between Brazil and Sweden and promotes the mobility of researchers

The selected projects are mainly related to the areas of embedded systems and safety, and product development and manufacturing. Among them, there are representatives of the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA), the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Linkoping University, in addition the industries, Saab AB, Embraer and Akaer.

Both calls have a common rule: the need for participation of at least two partners, one of Brazil and one of Sweden, being one of the industry. However, the objectives were different. "While the call Support for International Missions aims to continue the collaboration between scholars of CNPq/ CISB/SAAB call with Swedish institutions, the call Support for International Collaboration  aims the creation of a portfolio of projects to start an agenda for cooperation between Brazil and Sweden”, explains Alessandra Holmo, Managing Director of CISB.

More than 30 projects were analyzed by the evaluation committee made up of industry members and academia, both from Brazil, and Sweden. The main areas of interest of the projects presented to the Support call for International Collaboration were embedded systems and safety, product development and manufacturing, propulsion systems, aircraft design, and structure and materials. "Approximately 40 Swedish and Brazilian institutions were mentioned as beneficiaries or partners in the project development. This represents the commitment of the institutions of both countries in developing joint projects", concludes Alessandra.
