Sweden Brazil Innovation Initiative (SBII) is a broad platform supporting long-term relationships that can enable collaborations and foster co-creation of innovation ecosystems. The main activities are to disseminate information about cooperation, opportunities, notices, seminars and matchmaking.

Since 2016, Sweden and Brazil have a strategic innovation partnership (SGI – Steering Group of Innovation) between the Swedish Ministry of Climate and Enterprise (KN) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MCTI). The purpose of the SGI is to create conditions for the implementation of the Strategic Partnership. Four large areas of concentration were chosen: Life science (Healthcare), Smart Cities, Sustainable Mining and Bioeconomy.
