This 2nd Workshop will present the last achievements of the program Swedish Endowed Professor Chair at ITA in the Honor of Peter Wallenberg Sr., which has been resulting in several fruits and spillovers for different sectors of technology. In addition to the results already achieved, the event will also address potential developments and future plans for the collaboration.

As part of its annual cycle, the SC2C.Aero organizes this year its 2nd Annual Workshop, integrating companies, R,D&I institutions and funding agencies to improve the aerospace ecosystem in Santa Catarina. The Workshop will occur in Joinville at Ágora Tech Park on September 24th, a partnership between UFSC, private initiative and the public power.

The event is part of the XVIII Brazil MRS Meeting, one of the biggest forums on materials sciences and technology. On this occasion, it will be held the Hotspot Sweden Brazil which will show and discuss the Swedish-Brazilian collaboration on nanomaterials between UFABC, Saab AB, Chalmers University of Technology and Linköping University.

Professor Mats Pettersson from Blekinge University of Technology will be one of the keynote speakers at the SIGE (Symposium on Operational Applications in Defense Areas), yearly event organised by the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA). The objective is to create an enabling environment for the exchange of experiences among the Armed Forces' academic, industrial and operational sectors in defense education, research and development.

For the second time, CISB is supporting the ANPEI Conference of Innovation 2019, whose main theme this year is “Innovation X.0 – The (Re)Evolutions of Society and Markets”. On the first day of the event, the CISB team will be holding side meetings with different companies to discuss the Brazil-Sweden cooperation and the calls for proposals between Vinnova and Brazilian funding agencies.

Mr. Jacob Paulsen, Director of the Science and Innovation Section at the Embassy of Sweden in Brasilia, will represent Sweden on the panel “International Ecosystems of Innovation and Synergies with Brazil”, that will take place in the second day.
