Trip of Brazilian startups, organized by the Swedish Brazilian Innovation Center, took Pix Force to an incentive project of the Swedish giant ABB.
In September 2002, the CISB (Swedish Brazilian Innovation Center) organized an even more innovative mission than the ones it usually carries out. In partnership with CNPq and Saab, and with Ignite Sweden’s support, the mission aimed to connect Brazilian startups that had solutions related to the field of Artificial Intelligence with large Swedish companies.
One of the participants was Pix Force, a startup from Rio Grande do Sul, focused on visual inspection and monitoring processes. Basically, its solutions seek to automate the interpretation of images, be them photos or videos. The results generated are more accurate, faster, and cheaper, compared to human vision. This was exactly the proposal that fascinated ABB, a world giant in the field of industrial automation.
Pix Force was invited to participate in SynerLeap, a project that offers guidance, investments and exclusive access to ABB’s networks, customers and technology. “We believe that the development of disruptive technology to improve people’s lives, removing them from dangerous and tedious jobs, is the main factor for choosing Pix Force in the SynerLeap project,” evaluates Daniel Moura, CEO of the Brazilian company.
Continuity
Pix Force intends to expand its commercial relationship with other companies that make up SynerLeap as its next step in the project. “ABB has customers from different industries and sizes that have issues we can solve with our know-how,” explains Moura. In these processes, it will be him, in addition to Renato Gomes, both founders of the startup, who will run the activities, but the expectation is to include other leaders in the project in the near future.
The plans are for the relationship with Sweden to be expanded and deepened. “We are going to submit for the EUREKA public notice and we know that this was only possible because CISB introduced us to RISE, an important research institute in Sweden,” explains Moura, reinforcing that the 2022 mission was a watershed in Pix Force’s history.
As far as CISB goes, planning for a new mission in 2023 is already underway. The institution’s goal is to continue and expand the connection between the innovation ecosystem in Brazil and Sweden. Cases like those of Pix Force, with proven success, reinforce how the work carried out is on track. “Last year, when I returned from the Mission, I said that the future held not only surprises, but good certainties for everyone involved in this project and seeing these results confirms our commitment,” concludes Alessandra Holmo, Managing Director of CISB.
